Features of the 2 day show include: ‘The Export Experiment’ This second annual new product competition is geared towards increasing American exports. Ideas submitted must be saleable in a niche market in another country and they must be patent-pending or patented. This will be launched during the 2 day event. (we are in need of sponsors for this competition either in work, incubation, or cash sponsor) ‘Inventor Clinics’ During the show we have a storefront dedicated for open discussions and speeches for our inventor and entrepreneur community. This is a great opportunity for design firms, patent attorneys, incubators and other entrepreneurial resource groups to talk to potential incubates and showcase their current incubates as well as their organization. ‘Workforce & Resume Matching’ This area is tentatively located at the entrance of Erieview tower and will be filled with organizations like colleges, training facilities, staffing agencies, STEM programs, etc. The general public will have the opportunity to send in resumes before the event and during the event to this location. Anyone exhibiting in this room will have access to these resumes in addition to job opportunities submitted by the exhibitors and anyone else with a manufacturing related position open. This area can be sponsored by a company/organization. ‘I Love Manufacturing Evening Event’ Celebrate surviving the recession along with your passion for the manufacturing industry! This event is tentatively held at the Galleria in the rotunda unless a musical act is booked that is so big, it has to be moved to the Rock Hall, Wolstein Center, The Q, or House of Blues. There will be a cocktail hour at 6 o’clock and then an all you can eat buffet with drinks and live music. $125/ticket. ‘Networking Lounge’ Remember when business deals were done face-to-face? Well, if not, this lounge located in the old Key West Restaurant will bring you back to the days where drinks and conversation were enough for know-how and trust to be exchanged, and thus, business deals happened! We need a sponsor for this room, this would be a great opportunity for a company that offers wireless to add a few hotspots or an existing restaurant/beverage/food company that would like to have their goods available as snacks/refreshments throughout the day. On-going at The Manufacturing Mart: ‘Developing trade system’ We are currently developing software from our patent which will create an entirely new type of stock system. We are talking about the next NASDAQ but with shares of manufacturing rather than shares of stock. This is a game-changing, economies-making program that will create atleast 6,000 jobs. trademarketplace We are in need of funding and signatures from companies that would use the software, our beta is for machining processes which is 60% of Ohio’s manufacturing. ‘Club MFG-NA’ We have a club of manufacturers and we are looking to give them enterprise solutions. We have partnered with Cleveland based Barnes Distribution to give manufacturers with under 100 employees the buying power of the ‘big guys’. See article about Cleveland partnership We have also partnered with Cleveland’s New Wave Plastics to allow manufacturers to easily and profitably recycle post-industrial waste. We saved over 1 MILLION POUNDS of waste that was going to go to landfill over the fall season! If you have a resource that brings value to a manufacturer, talk with us about how we can work it into our club solutions. ‘Capital of Know-How Magazine’ We have written and complied articles to create a truly unique publication that speaks to anyone in manufacturing and leadership positions. Read this quarter’s issue about Step2, Barnes Group, Machinist of the Month, Export Advice, and other compelling topics that offer how-to’s on making your next career and business decision. Read here ‘Permanent Exhibition with Promotion” In under 8 months we have increased our permanent exhibitor’s sales in a total of over 1 MILLION DOLLARS. We hope to expand into other storefronts in the Galleria by having the storefronts become sectioned exhibits such as: Starting Materials Library (where you can touch and feel samples of innovative materials to design with), New Product Gallery (IP and inventions on display for purchase or development) and Component Manufacturers (parts and pieces shops that have a service to offer an inventor or OEM). |
